Martin “Bear Garden” Wirén – Forests (Official Music Video)

Forests is a solo saxophone piece based on a special arpeggio technique developed by the Swedish saxophonist and composer Martin “Bear Garden” Wirén. Composing and performing an entire saxophone piece using only arpeggios and circular breathing pushes both the physical and intellectual part of playing saxophone to its limit. The years of practicing are many, but the reward is immense! Martin Wirén - Tenor Saxophone Forests was recorded deep into the woods of northern Sweden, Swedish Lapland. Accompanied only by the wing strokes of mosquitoes.
